City, County, and State Agencies, have begun enforcing their code compliance on a very strict basis. All government agencies are required to send you a notice that you are in violation of the code giving you ten days to get in compliance.

They only have to notify you ONCE every 12 months. After they have provided you with your annual notice, they can do what ever is necessary to get your property into compliance. When they do this they will contract it out, to whoever can do it NOW, never at a competitive price, and they will also add at least a 30% service fee. In addition to this they can add admin fees and they always add a separate fine.

Once you are fined they will give you a minimum time to pay it. If it is not paid they will file a lien adding more costs plus charging you interest until it is paid... or they can foreclose and sell it.
